Position Summary:The primary goal of this position is to work in partnership with law enforcement to respond directly to individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis. A paired team of a crisis clinician and a police officer will respond to 911 and other police dispatch calls believed to be related to behavioral health crises. Working together with law enforcement, the CC will provide effective crisis intervention services including providing crisis assessment and referral services, behavioral health education and support, brief solution-focused treatment, de-escalation, psychological first aid and connecting community members with follow-up services.Job Responsibilities:Ride along with officers to respond to 911 calls or in the field encounters with individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis.Respond to calls from BHR contact center for 911 diversion needs when law enforcement response is not required or is already on scene.Always adheres to all safety protocols and...

Available during designated hours to provide immediate clinical face-to-face crisis intervention services to any person residing within the Eastern Region of the State of Missouri. Referrals will primarily come from law enforcement and the courts. Coverage area includes the following counties: St. Louis, City of St. Louis, St. Charles, Lincoln, Warren, Franklin, Jefferson, St. Francois, Washington and Iron with an emphasis on St. Louis Metropolitan area.Essential Functions:* Coordinate services and develop local systems of care for individuals with behavioral health needs who have come to the attention of law enforcement officials, the courts and hospital emergency departments.* Participate on local law enforcement Crisis Intervention Teams (CIT) or other initiatives that assist law enforcement in dealing with individuals with behavioral health needs.* Provide Facility Designee and Law Enforcement CID training for CIT program.* Collaborate with local partners in Mental Health Courts...
