About the Role:
We are seeking to hire a Software Support Engineer with minimum 2-3 years of experience to lead and enhance Wiley's Research platform support and development efforts. As a Support Engineer, you will take a proactive role in maintaining the health of the production system and provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for complex technical issues.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior members, and drive continuous improvement in the support processes.

How you will make an impact:
  • Lead technical maintenance, support, and troubleshooting activities for the application.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure, DevOps, and Service teams to ensure seamless support.
  • Identify root causes of issues and implement robust solutions.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members in resolving complex problems.
  • Recommend process enhancements and actively participate in process refinement.


What we look for:
  • 2-3 years of experience in software support or developing/testing web-based enterprise applications.
  • Expertise in tools and technologies like ServiceNow, Dynatrace, Kibana/Elasticsearch, or any programming language.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to work independently, proactively solve problems, and deliver high-quality results.
  • Expert level of troubleshooting, process refinement and triaging skills along with prior experience in supporting interface technologies such as Web Services and the related protocols.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to proactively solve problems and recommend solutions, fix issues, and suggest workarounds.
