Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care to assigned patients in Infusion 1 .  UAMS infusion centers are open before and after business hours as well as on weekends and holidays to offer the flexibility patients need to manage their schedule and continue familiar routines. Infusion staff also works to make your treatments as stress-free as possible.  UAMS has two infusion centers offering personalized care to patients receiving chemotherapy and other cancer-related treatments.  Infusion 4 Clinic is located on the 4th floor of the Winthrop P. Coordinate care and/or follow-up for patients who receive care in outpatient clinics. Coordination of prescription refill requests and patient education coordination in collaboration with physician staff. The RN will develop a specialty in patient care related to the clinic's populations and acts as a resource. The RN will work with the providers and clinical staff to implement innovative approaches and set priorities to meet patient/family needs. Commitment to patient outcomes results in high levels of performance despite workload changes.Qualifications Required:Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with Associates Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelors in Nursing, or Master's in NursingValid RN License1 year of Registered Nursing experienceExcellent communication skillsBasic computer skillsStrong work ethics and accountability.Preferred:2 years or more nursing experienceCurrent BLS.This position is subject to a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen. A criminal conviction or arrest pending adjudication alone shall not disqualify an applicant.
