Our dynamic work environment coupled with our driven employees gives you great opportunity to thrive in your chosen career.As a Quality Engineer at Viasat you will help develop and build critical components of high quality, review in-house Engineering changes for QA requirements, and ensure they are defined into document changes. The analytical side of your brain will engage daily as you generate Operations metrics, including liaison with Operations Management on delivery of data and facilitation of improvement activities. The interpersonal side of your brain will engage daily as you work with the Quality teams in both our Atlanta and Carlsbad facility, ensuring timely resolution to NMRs, implementation of Oracle R12, and Business Intelligence reporting, as well as support of product and project activities covering both internal and external tasks.Requirements 3+ years of experience in Quality Engineering in support of electronic assemblies, including SMT CCAs, Box Build and Test, both academic and industry counts. Excellent analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize, be detail oriented, and manage time well to accomplish multiple tasks in parallel. Strong computer skills required (Word, Excel required, Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Power Point). Bachelor's Degree in Quality Assurance, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study. US government position. Must be able to acquire a Secret clearance. US citizenship required. Up to 25% Travel. Preferences Manufacturing background with electronics hardware Successfully worked with suppliers and/or subcontractors in implementing corrective actions and improving the quality of the delivered items and processes. Experience with IPC-A-610, also in ISO-9001, ISO-9002, and/or AS9100 environments. Working knowledge of PLM Tool (such as Agile) as well as ERP system (such as Oracle).
