Mastercard's acquisition of Vocalink adds Real-Time Payments (RTP) to our solution set, allowing us to capture new segments of cash, check and ACH payments for the network. One of the largest opportunities for Mastercard in the U.S. is in revolutionizing consumer bill pay. The current consumer bill pay experience is cumbersome, costly, slow and fragmented. By combining our Real-Time Payment assets with our industry-leading biller directory and bill pay service RPPS (Remote Payment and Presentment Service), we are bringing a new solution to market known as the Mastercard Bill Pay Exchange. Bill Pay Exchange is a new real-time, multi-rail messaging application that enables enhanced bill pay experiences for consumers, FIs, digital aggregators and billers. We are engaging external partners across the industry to build out an ecosystem of players, including the largest US consumer banks, processors, billers, billing service providers and treasury banks. We launched the solution in late 2019, and are now focusing on building out and scaling the network.We are looking for an entrepreneurial and passionate payments professional to lead product sales efforts to support the scaling of our Bill Pay Exchange Network. Specifically, this customer-focused leader will be responsible for signing top Billers and Billing Service Providers (EBPP providers) to the Network. Role description:Develop targets and sales approach to sign direct billers and billing service providers. Key activities include the development and execution of sales strategy to sign the most significant biller opportunities, including proposal development, negotiation of business and financial terms and closing of deals. Individual will lead a team of 2 high-performing team members.ROLE:* Work independently and with leaders of customer account management teams (where applicable) in qualifying, prioritizing, and advancing pipeline and cross-sell opportunities.* Consult with clients/prospects to assess complex and highest value business opportunities; collaborate closely with development teams and business partners to customize solutions where necessary.* Complete diagnosis of client's pain points, business needs and related requirements through data gathering, customer collaboration, research, tools development and business case modeling.* Advance multiple negotiations in parallel, from pre-proposal stages through implementation. * Liaise with customers, account teams and product development teams to share voice-of-customer feedback on required/desired functionality for North America (NAM) customers.* Partner with Bill Pay Activation Team and North American Marketing team to develop sales collateral and customer-facing messaging to promote our new bill pay network, and support customer efforts to sell Bill Pay Exchange to their clients. * Coach and mentor high-performing team members to ensure maximum leverage of teamALL ABOUT YOU: * Strong customer focus and relationship orientation* Proven influencing ability, with comfort interacting with all levels of partner management to advance sales discussions* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills* Comfort with analytics, with strong business acumen* Results-driver, with flexible demeanor with willingness to advance multiple discussions and workstreams in parallel* Exceptional people-leader with a genuine desire to help coach and mentor others, collaborate across teams. and have fun.* Proven sales / business development experience in Product / Technical sales for a complex financial product or service* Prior experience in payments, electronic billing (EBPP/bill pay), Treasury and/or receivables management a plusEducation/Certification Requirements * Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred* Travel requiredDue to COVID-19, most of our employees are working from home.
