We're looking for a Senior Scrum Master to join our agile delivery team based in Nottingham.
We're looking for an experienced Senior Scrum Master and are particularly interested in candidates who may have a product owner/developer/tester background who have moved into the Scrum Master space.What is a Senior Scrum Master responsible for?
You will act as the servant-leader for our Agile teams, helping to educate the teams on ways of working and ensuring that all agreed Agile processes are correctly followed. You'll have responsibility for ensuring the team are empowered to tackle impediments and blockages as quickly as possible.
You will have a relentless focus on continually improving the performance of the Agile team and the environment they are operating in, whilst ensuring appropriate governance standards are adhered to. You will spend much of your time helping other team members communicate, coordinate and cooperate. Where organisational barriers are found, you will constructively challenge these and work with the wider Agile community to ensure we are solving system-wide problems and not just local ones.
The Senior Scrum Master should be an agent of change - a positive disruptor who pursues collective delivery excellence.
As well as having responsibility for fostering change within agile teams you are leading, you will also be accountable for delivering our wider agile maturity improvements across all the BI teams. This includes owning the transformation roadmap as well as supporting other teams and scrum masters / change agents in improving their maturity. Key Responsibilities:
· Impediment and blockage removal - Responsibility for ensuring the team are empowered to tackle impediments and blockages as quickly as possible is a key facet of the role.
· Facilitating team events - Ensuring all team events run efficiently and effectively. This doesn't mean you are the Scrum Police - you should encourage the team to tailor approaches to ensure it allows for the maximum focus on Value, Flow and Quality.
· Collaborating with other teams - Working closely with other Scrum Masters, Project Managers, Programme Managers and Release Train Engineers to ensure continuous learning and improvement is at the heart of all we do
· Coaching, mentoring & training team on all aspects of agile to ensure they are building the right thing (purpose), building it right (quality) & building it fast enough (efficiency)
LinLLine management, performance management and personal development of Scrum Masters within BI Qualifications
We're looking for pure play Scrum Masters who have experience working as a Scrum Master in an Agile environment. Ideally you will have experience working with globally distributed teams, and will possess a relevant certification (SSM, CSM, PSM or equivalent).Additional InformationWhy choose us?
