Responsible for designing and developing complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Ensures that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. Ensures solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Possess strong proficiency in development and testing practices common to the industry, and have extensive experience of using design and architectural patterns. At this level, specializations start to form in either Architecture, Test Engineering or DevOp. Contributes to story refinement/defining requirements. Participates and guides team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle. Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas. Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements. Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements. Assists team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work. Designs/develops/modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained. Designs/develops/maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance). Sets up and develops a continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline. Automates manual release activities. Mentors other Software Engineers and coaches team on CI-CD practices and automating tool stack. Individual contributor.

Global Banking Technology (GBT):

Leads development of the next generation of integrated banking technology solutions to drive business growth for Commercial, Corporate, Investment Banking and Global Markets clients. GBT supports Bank of America Merrill Lynch clients through the end-to-end product lifecycle, including Sales, Relationship Management, and Commercial Loan and Lease Accounting Technology as well as regulatory data and the enterprises' Wholesale Credit Transformation effort. GBT is responsible for the technology that drives key customer interfacing product channels across Cash Management, Payments, Lockbox, Card and Trade & Supply Chain Finance and globally throughout the U.S., EMEA, APAC, Canada and LatAm regions.

Overview:

A senior Business Analyst II (5+ years of IT experience) supporting Bank of America's GBAM Technology Fulfillment and Servicing Data environments with specific responsibilities for GBAMT's FAST applications. The position will be supporting Bank of America's GBAM Fulfillment and Servicing Platforms with specific responsibilities in support of the FAST application portfolio.

Responsibilities:
  • Business Partner facing roles developing the Fulfillment and Servicing Applications
  • Requirements gathering to translate business needs into technical requirements ensuring all impacted systems satisfy those business needs.
  • Complete process engineering to understand and document current and target state business processes
  • Completing documentation of business and functional requirements design, process and data flows, business logic and rules, and use cases/stories
  • Proactively identifying application and process risks and then developing mitigation plans to resolve potential issues within the development lifecycle
  • Comprehensive system design and development support including:
  • Driving user interface design principles
  • Ensuring process optimization using workflow tools
  • Completing rule authoring and data validations
  • Data analysis and data mining capabilities
  • Development testing and system validation
  • Agile and waterfall methodology


Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of IT experience
  • 3+ years of Business Analysis experience supporting business units' end-to-end application analysis
  • Ability to take ownership of processes and deliverables
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that can adapt to all levels of the organization
  • System process engineering
  • Data analysis skills including query authoring
  • Ability to work as a self-starter and part of a delivery team
  • Agile and Waterfall software delivery methodologies
  • Experience with MS Office, Visio, and Jira
  • Bachelor or Masters in Computer Science or related experience
