Job DescriptionAbout this roleThe Senior Manager is a part of US Medical Neuropsychiatry, a strategic partner within Biogen, that helps inform medical practice across our therapeutic areas and pipeline to improve meaningful patient outcomes. As a key member of the US Neuropsychiatry Medical Director office team that reports to the Neuropsychiatry US Medical Head , the Senior Manager - Neuropsychiatry will collaborate closely with Medical Operations to coordinate and execute the Neuropsychiatry key medical strategies and tactics. Biogen's priority is to continue to foster and enable a diverse and inclusive workforce - representing age, gender, sexual identity, race, ethnicity, Veterans, and people with disabilities - that reflects the communities where we operate and the patients who we serve.What You Will Do* Be a credible/medical scientific expert who is accountable as the primary Neuropsychiatry representative and process driver that reviews and coordinates submissions for both the Commercial Promotional (PRC) and Scientific (non-promotional) Material Review (DSMR) teams to ensure consistency of therapeutic area content and communication per established standards.* Engage with cross-functional partners (Legal/Compliance, Regulatory Affairs and Commercial) from the US Medical perspective to ensure content is medically sound, compliant, adequately referenced and aligned with medical strategy.* As the primary point of contact for medical communication agencies, supports project planning for medical tactics and facilitates activities for content development, as assigned.* Coordinate and liaise with other internal stakeholders to include a variety of global functions Neuropsychiatry( i.e. Global Medical team, Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Pharmacovigilance, R&D) to ensure scientific content development and communications Neuropsychiatry US Medical team are met and aligned with Global Scientific Platform i.e. slide presentations, Advisory boards, Congresses, medical training* Coordinate & implement initiatives for the Neuropsychiatry US Medical Team and US cross-functional stakeholdersWho You AreYou are a scientific or clinical professional with a passion for science and deep scientific knowledge. You have a talent for paying attention to details and enjoy supporting activities around content development for internal and external resources i.e. presentations, medical training, Advisory boards. You keep patients, payers, and physicians top of mind in your daily work and collaborate to solve critical scientific and business challenges.QualificationsRequired skills* DNP, PharmD, PhD, MD, Nurse/ANP or other advanced degree in the life sciences* Minimum 4 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry strongly preferred* Relevant experience with regulatory review processes in Medical Affairs is desired* Excellent communication (particularly both written and oral) to include presentation skills* Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively operate and influence within a highly matrixed organization* Solid project management skills to include the ability to take initiative to solve complex and challenging problemsPreferred and Therapeutic Area Skills* Clinical experience as a subject matter expert in the respective area is optimal.* Experience with Psychiatry is a plus.Why Biogen?Our mission to find therapies for neurological and rare diseases is a unique focus within our industry and this shared purpose is what connects us as a team.
