The Human Resource Generalist (HRG) will support a team comprised of an HR Director, HR Business Partner (HRBP) and an HR Manager (HRM) to advance the development of staff, assist our employees and implement HR initiatives. They will collaborate with Core HR, other HR Generalists and HR liaisons to deliver excellent HR services to assigned business units on a global scale. They provide generalist services that include; recruiting and global mobility assistance, employee relations, talent management, staff development and training and customer service. Although this position has location flexibility, TNC is unable to accommodate personal moves.
The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for developing, administering and maintaining HR systems, programs, procedures and plans according to HR policies and will provide assistance to all levels of personnel on various HR-related issues. Job duties will vary; some tasks are routine and administrative while other responsibilities may be complex. This position must be able to maintain confidentiality and requires the ability to be an independent thinker. Must have excellent interpersonal skills with a strong commitment to deliver excellent customer service.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE
Partner closely with WO HR Teams in areas of Compensation and Benefits, Recruiting, Learning and Development, etc. to support strategic initiatives in support of business objectives. Respond in a timely manner to routine, administrative and sometimes moderately complex employee/management questions and problems based on knowledge of aspects applicable to the subject area and keeps HR Team apprised of trends and patterns. Partner with respective People Team colleagues to ensure delivery of HR services, requests and solutions, improving service, streamlining processes and recommending strategies to continually improve efficiencies. Serve as a first point of contact with HR liaisons within the client business units. Maintains connection and is proactive in determining HR needs and how to respond accordingly. Initiates regular calls and inquiries. Supports US based employees who work outside of the US within international programs. Oversee performance management processes and procedures with clients. Manage assigned HR projects/initiatives, providing guidance and recommendations in addressing a variety of HR related issues and use HR subject matter expertise to resolve those issues. Point of contact with Global Mobility while overseeing global mobility process and cases for assignedclient base. Assist with recruitments: posting, sourcing, resume review, scheduling interviews, new hire paperwork. May manage full recruitments as assigned. Support formal and informal training and development opportunities for staff including coordination and facilitation of internal training. Send all welcome letters to new hires and provide assistance as needed with onboarding requirements and needs. Lead person to streamline outgoing communication to clients groups from various parts of the organization. Serve as PeopleSoft expert and backup for all modules. Prepare and analyze HR reports and dashboards to identify issues/trends and to measure progress. Responsible for all ad hoc reports as needed. Work with HRBP and HRM on equity analysis. Support client business unit with HR Operations when and as required. Exercises independent judgment to provide effective guidance to all staff.
Bachelor's degree in human resources or related discipline or a minimum of 3 years related work experience or equivalent combination. Experience responding to general HR related questions and problems from employees/management. Experience with recruiting and sourcing techniques. Experience in one or more of the following areas: database management and spreadsheet software; constructing and producing reports; data input, manipulation, and analysis. Experience working with MS Office software, including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint Experience and comfort with developing relationships with individuals and groups of diverse people and cultures. Experience facilitating training and/or presentations. Experience supporting clients/employees located in different global time zones.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated. International HR experience would be a plus. Experience with immigration and work permit administrative process would be helpful. Advanced understanding of fundamental HR concepts, processes, and services. Working knowledge of PeopleSoft HRIS system, especially EPerformance and Recruiting modules. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to travel occasionally.
