Summary Posted: Nov 17, 2022 Weekly Hours: 40 Role Number:200441951 The Backup and Migration QA team within Apple's Core OS organization is looking for a results-oriented leader with strong technical and interpersonal skills to lead a team of QA Engineers with a focus on Backup/Restore and Migration validation. The person in this role will work closely with Engineering, other QA and cross-functional managers on delivering the highest quality experience for all Apple products! As a member of our dynamic group, you will have the unique opportunity to be part of validating our Backup, Migration and associated components. You will be responsible for ensuring features and performance are maintained at the highest standard. Key Qualifications 5+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer in Test or Software Quality Engineer. 3+ years as a Software Quality Engineering Manager. Passion to recruit, manage and develop high-performance engineering teams. Deep understanding of SQA methodologies, processes, tools and CI/CD pipelines. Detail oriented, analytical, and creative problem solver with passion for quality processes. Proficiency with iOS, macOS or other operating systems such as Unix/Linux. Ability to empower teams to achieve exciting yet attainable goals. Comfortable working in a constantly evolving and dynamic environment and driving top issues to resolution. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Python or other equivalent scripting/programming language. Telemetry/DataAnalysis experience with Splunk or similar Description You will be managing a team of QA Dev Engineers focusing on white box testing for all Apple Platforms. You will drive the testing, data gathering, and project reporting for your team. You will coordinate testing with other teams, review test plans and related documentation, monitor progress, and provide sign-offs on all presubmission and release milestones. You will process data from multiple sources, draw meaningful conclusions, and present valuable recommendations to leadership. Core Responsibilities Include: Manage a small team of Development Engineers in Test Develop, modify, automate complete test strategies, plans, and programs Coordinate and optimize testing in a multi-functional environment in multiple locations Drive quality initiatives for areas of responsibility Actively participate in testing the work you're doing Education & Experience B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience. Additional Requirements Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $173,000 and $299,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
