Cyber Defense Advisor Bulgaria, Sofia Security Clearance U.S. Citizen, Current Security Clearance, Secret Skills cyber defense, capacity building We are recruiting for a Senior Advisor to serve as a liaison and advisor for cybersecurity defense and cybersecurity capacity building for the Bulgaria Ministry of Defense (MOD). Qualified candidates will have prior ex perience communicating cybersecurity policy and technical concepts to a variety of stakeholders in an international security environment. This position will work on-site in Sofia, Bulgaria. COVID19HIRING Duties and responsibilities include Support international advisory and security assistance efforts for the Bulgarian Ministry of Defense's efforts to establish a Cyber Defense Center (CDC) Support implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Support development of organizational requirements and cybersecurity skill sets Provide expertise to ensure Bulgarian MOD leaders and their staff understand the cybersecurity implications of their decisions Provide support to identify technical requirements, legacy system transition, and network and IT system needs to ensure cyber capabilities and resistance to vulnerabilities Support interagency cybersecurity coordination Provide support to mitigate resistance to institutional change and build support for strategic planning and improvements Requirements include U.S. citizenship Current secret security clearance Degree from an accredited universitycollege related to Cybersecurity, Cyber Defense, Global Technology and Development, Information Systems Security, Digital Forensics Overall experience should include 6+ years of directly related experience supporting cybersecurity initiatives with a master's degree OR 10+ years of directly related experience supporting cyber security initiatives with a bachelor's degree Prior experience as a high-ranking government official providing related support is required (Minimum rank of O-5 in the military or equivalent in a civilian capacity (i.e. FS-02GS-14) 2+ years of overall experience should include developing cybersecurity and cyber defense strategy, policy, or procedures 1+ years of experience in a lead role supporting risk mitigation, reducing vulnerabilities, and strengthening defenses in a cyber arena Direct experience leading projects associated with bilateral andor multilateral cybersecurity capacity building initiatives andor supporting Cyber Defense Center wor k Prior experience advising foreign governments at the operational andor strategic level Prior experience living overseas (minimum of one year) Availability to work on-site in Sofia, Bulgaria CB MON D ZR .
