About the Role The Micro Focus Professional Services Worldwide Strategy Solutions team is hiring a Business Consultant with a strong background in Micro Focus Service Management Automation (SMA) Product Suite. The Business Consultant will provide product expertise to the Hybrid ITITOM PS team. Consulting to internal stakeholders, external customers and internal project teams and, as trusted advisor, will create and maintain effective PS field and Product Management relationships so as to ensure customer satisfaction. Will also actively contribute to the company's solutions portfolio by providing information ranging from technical knowledge to methodologies based on experience gained from customer projects. Contribute to organization's profitability by generating and cultivating new business opportunities and by providing technical support for deal proposal development. The Business Consultant, Service Management Automation Is responsible for SMA Services supporting artifacts for field utilization Plans and leads delivery of workshops and facilitated client events. Engages in peer-to-peer dialogue with clients about their industry and their situation. Opens new discussions and builds new opportunities with clients. Constructs the overall transformation roadmap for the client. Builds strong rapport with clients creating respect and trust. Opens new relationship opportunities within the client environment. Understands how to construct and gain agreement for business cases. Selects appropriate tools available to develop and validate business cases including lifetime costing. Shapes and influences client attitudes to outcomes and key benefits for both the client and the company. Maintains appropriate relationships with the Product Management teams. Understands a broad spectrum of company technology in order to provide part or all of a Services offering to support the PS field. Develops MOC work streams and lead the implementation of MOC activities acting as the change consultant for the client. Has the ability to propose solutions, addressing client business issues and objectives using a combination of company standardized and customized services. Shapes approach to identifying and managing risks and assumptions and for realizing benefits at a program level. Creates proposals describing the company's solution and the associated value proposition, ensuring knowledge capture sessions are arranged and executed. Works with and under the direction of the WW Hybrid ITITOM Chief Technologist. Liaises Software Sales, PS Solutions ArchitectsConsultants as appropriate. Participates in the selling process in CI and works with salesprincipals on pre- sales activities. Demonstrates execution of the company strategy. Contributes to knowledge tools and communities, and ensures project learnings are documented and shared. Role models knowledge sharing and re-use within practice or profession. Proactively encourages membership and contributions of others to professional community. Uses professions to meet the relevant certification and professional standards. Produces internally published material such as knowledge briefs, service delivery kit components or modules, etc. Education and Experience Required 5+ years of professional experience and a Bachelor of ArtsScience or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study without a degree, three additional years of relevant professional experience (8+ years in total). Extensive exposure, engagement and implementation experience in knowledge of Micro Focus Service Management Automation X Extensive exposure, engagement and implementation experience in knowledge of Micro Focus Service Manager Extensive exposure, engagement and implementation experience in knowledge of Micro Focus Business Service Catalogue Extensive exposure, engagement and implementation experience in knowledge of Micro Focus Configuration Management Extensive exposure, engagement and implementation experience in knowledge of Micro Focus Asset Management Knowledge and Skills Required Ability to propose solutions, addressing client business issues and objectives using a combination of company standardized and customized services. Possesses advanced level of business, technical, or functional knowledge. Has ability to performdrive resolution of problems on combinations and interactions of products. Ability to apply technology and consulting to solve a client business problem. Able to communicate and present complex issues with assurance and confidence with demonstrated use of consulting skills including questioning, listening, ideas development, permission and rapport, and influencing. Ability to conductlead oral status business interchange meetings with clients. Owns and produces field utilized documentation. Ability to translate technical details into concise and easy to understand written form. Ability to write relevant components of a proposal document (e.g. answer specific RFP questions). Ability to translate verbal requirements from face to face client meetings into requirements documents, statements of work, and proposals. Able to discuss (within own area of expertise) requirements with a customer, and to challenge and clarify when appropriate. From the requirements, able to develop a high level design or plan, and then estimate the amount of effort required to deliver. Able to advise the engagement owner about the risks associated with this work package. Ability to work with a team to provide written responses to technical proposals and or reportsdocumentation for delivery.
