Roles and Responsibilities
We’re looking for a new team member for our Global Finance analytics team who is motivated by cracking tough challenges with data, trained in problem solving, and with an unending thirst for learning.
As a senior finance data architect, You will be responsible for design and architecture of data products for our finance community in our data lake and data warehouse environments.
In this role your will be responsible for working with our analytics, IT and data management teams in finance, to develop scalable big data and data warehouse design patterns and architectures in Databricks and Snowflake platforms.  Your responsibilities will include
Oversee the design of the data architecture and the technical architecture of our modern data platforms, including data acquisition and integration, data modelling, transformation and quality processes, master data management, data warehousing and data marts, data lakehouse, data fabric and data mesh.
Design conceptual, logical and/or physical data models and repositories, as well as data ontologies for global finance
Work closely with internal customers and other architects to define metadata layers, technical Data strategies and optimal integration of innovative technologies within existing enterprise architecture landscape
Evaluate and select the tools and components necessary for optimal data management (data acquisition, data storage, data quality, data governance, data visualization and advanced analytics).
Support data quality and data management teams
Take an active role in coaching and developing junior architects and data engineers in the team

You must have
Proven track record and at least 5-10 years’ experience in one or more of the following areas: data strategy, Data  architecture, (modern) data platform architecture, data modeling, data governance,
5+ years in financial domain with strong business understanding of financial and operational reporting
5+ years experience designing analytics data assets, with both structured and unstructured data in  big data environments
5+ years experience with development in Databricks, Snowflake or equivalent technology environments on cloud
5+ years experience with different data architecture patterns: Data Fabric, Data Mesh, Data Warehouse, Data Marts, data modeling, ontologies & knowledge graphs, Microservices
5+ years experience in implementing ETL data flows and data pipelines, and know one or more of the following tools: Informatica PowerCenter, SAS Data Integration Studio, Microsoft SSIS, Ab Initio, etc.
5+ years  experience in SQL development, Hadoop ecosystem (Spark, Kafka, HDFS, Hive, HBase, …), and NoSQL Databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, Neo4j)
Any experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and Google Cloud is a real asset.
5+ years of data modeling experience, working closely with business leaders to identify business needs and data opportunities


Master’s Degree in Economics, (Business) Engineering, Sciences, IT, Computer Sciences, Statistics or equivalent
Strong communication and presentation skills and love to take full ownership of your projects and help clients in overcoming their challenges. 
We value: 
Experience with graph data modeling and graph data base deployments
Experince with SAP ERP Finance modules and data assets
strong business understanding of the financial sector including, Corporate finance, Banking, Insurance or Capital markets
Experience working with data science teams and actively supporting them in their needs for AI/ML development
Experience with Docker and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift, AKS, GKE...),
experience with lean/agile software development
strong communication and presentation skills
