The Work You'll Be Doing
As a Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Programmer, you will:
Develop CNC programs and manufacturing processes for complex aerospace components
Create detailed operation sheets, setup documentation, tooling packages, and machining instructions
Define manufacturing sequences, tooling, workholding, gauging, and machine requirements
Support machine prove-outs and troubleshoot programming or process-related issues on the shop floor
Collaborate with engineering, quality, production, and outside vendors to improve manufacturability and efficiency
Identify opportunities for process improvements, tooling upgrades, cycle time reductions, and quality enhancements
Assist with manufacturing estimates, tooling development, and production planning for new programs
Ensure documentation supports AS9102 and aerospace quality requirements
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations

What We're Looking ForRequired
Bachelor's Degree OR
Associate Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience OR
High School Diploma with 8+ years of relevant experience
3+ years of CNC programming experience using CAD/CAM software
Experience with multi-axis machining environments
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes from raw material through finished product
Experience supporting machine setup, prove-outs, and troubleshooting
Strong communication and documentation skills
U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred
NX CAM experience
Mill-Turn programming experience
5-Axis machining experience
Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience
Hands-on machining background
Experience working directly from engineering models and blueprints to develop complete manufacturing processes
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate started their career in a machine shop and understands what it takes to make parts successfully on the floor. You've likely progressed into CNC programming or manufacturing engineering and are comfortable taking ownership of the entire manufacturing process—from blueprint review and CAM programming through prove-out and production support.
