Job Title: Accounts Payable Associate (Immediate Need) Location: Cranbury, NJ (100% On-Site) Employment Type: Full-Time | Potential Temp-to-Perm Compensation (Permanent): $60,000 - $65,000 About the Opportunity: We are seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to join our team immediately in a fast-paced, project-driven environment within the construction/engineering space. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and looking to grow within an accounting function. The position will begin on a temporary basis with strong potential to convert to a permanent role. This is a fully on-site position in Cranbury, NJ, supporting a collaborative accounting team that values accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:
- Process a high volume of vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper coding
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation
- Assist with weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
- Maintain organized and up-to-date AP records and documentation
- Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and respond to inquiries
- Support month-end close activities related to accounts payable
- Assist with expense report processing and compliance with company policies
- Collaborate with project managers and internal teams on invoice approvals
Qualifications:
- Prior accounts payable or general accounting experience required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and processing
- Willingness and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working with numbers and large volumes of transactional data
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
