Work Schedule - Class is in-person from 6-8 PM on Monday and Wednesday evenings. Position will be based at Daniel Morgan Middle School.

Job Description - Adult Education ESL Instructors plan and deliver standards-based instruction to adults who speak or read English less than well in in-person classrooms. Instructors integrate digital literacy and workplace skills into all classes. Instructors accurately collect, record and submit class attendance and assessments in a timely manner.
Compensation: The hourly pay range for this position is $25.85-$34.89, however, actual starting hourly rate will be commensurate with education, credentials, and/or experience. The position is part time and as such cannot exceed 29 hours per week and is not eligible for health or leave benefits. However, the position may offer educational benefits through our professional development and educational assistance policies.

KSA's/Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree, as required by Virginia Department of Education Ability to manage and maintain a professional classroom Experience developing lesson plans for multi-level, multi-subject classes. Experience delivering standards-based instruction to ESL students Experience integrating digital literacy and workplace skills into instruction. Experience administering online academic and language assessments for the purpose of evaluating student progress for meeting academic learning targets Experience accurately reporting student data into an online system in a timely fashion. Experience developing and implementing individual student learning plans Able to follow the policies of the regional adult education program. Able to work independently and follow policies of host facility. Able to respond to student and staff email within 24 hours. Experience working with non-traditional students ESL instructors need experience teaching English language learners at various levels.
