Summary
The Dishwasheris responsible forthe maintenance of dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen, work areas,equipmentand utensils in a clean,orderlyand sanitary conditionin accordance withcurrent applicable federal,stateand local standards,guidelinesand regulations. The focus of the Dishwasher includes general dishwasher and cleaning responsibilities to ensure the complete cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and work areas.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Scrapes/rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment. Ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.
- Washes pots, pans, and trays based on assigned procedures. Ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation. Let dry completely before storing or reusing.
- Polishes silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth depending on assigned equipment and procedures. Ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.
- Ensure compliance with all outlined safety procedures, up to and including use of cut gloves when handling and cleaning knives.
- Maintain and track temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.Let supervisor knowin a timely mannerif levels are off.
- Clean andmaintaindish area in an orderly manner to include mats, clear walkway and in compliance with all other safety standards.
- Sweeps and mops kitchen floors atappropriate intervalsto ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
- Washes worktables, walls,refrigerators, andmeat blocks and all other food prepsurfaceas assigned.
- Segregatesandremovestrash and garbage andplacesit in designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans inappropriateand assigned areas.
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and workareasobservingall safe lifting standards.
- Mayassistwith loading or unloading supplies andproduct.
- Perform other functions and duties as assigned.
