We are seeking an Electronic Component Project Engineer to join the Legacy Electronics Systems Engineering team. In this role, you'll drive sustainment and obsolescence mitigation for legacy electronic products, ensuring reliability and compliance across long-lifecycle systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Project ExecutionDeliver technical tasks on time, maintain engineering records, escalate risks early.
- Component SustainmentManage end-of-life risks, support redesigns, update lifecycle plans.
- Design ControlExecute documentation updates, technical reviews, and supplier transitions.
- Validation SupportCoordinate EMC, vibration, and environmental testing; analyze data for sustainment decisions.
- Supplier CollaborationPartner with suppliers and cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues.
- Compliance & ImprovementSupport RoHS/CE standards, contribute to quality initiatives, improve processes.
Candidate Profile
- Education: BS + 5 years exp. OR MS + 3 years exp.
- Top Skills:
- Experience in NPI projects
- Knowledge of component obsolescence & sustainment
- Strong communication skills
- Desired: Electronic systems knowledge, Agile mindset.
