Tax Manager

Mansheim & Associates is looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join our growing public accounting team. This is a hands-on, client-facing role focused on tax prep/review, client advisory services, and mentoring junior staff in a collaborative, family-oriented environment.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys building client relationships, owning complex 1040 work, and contributing across both tax and CAS/bookkeeping functions throughout the year.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and review individual and business tax returns (1040s, partnerships, S-Corps, corporations)
- Own client relationships and provide year-round tax guidance
- Review bookkeeping, payroll, and financial statement work completed by staff accountants
- Support tax planning and compliance efforts
- Mentor and provide feedback to junior team members
- Assist with payroll reporting, deadlines, and financial statement delivery
- Partner closely with firm leadership during busy season and throughout the year
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of tax experience in public accounting or a related environment
- Experience preparing/reviewing tax returns
- CPA or EA strongly preferred
- Comfortable in a client-facing role
- Experience with tax software platforms (UltraTax preferred but not required)
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
