Description The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical systems, with expertise in various repair and maintenance tasks. This role requires a hands-on approach to diagnosing and resolving equipment issues, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are met. The mechanic completes inspection, maintenance and repairs on trucks, trailers, forklifts, pickups, and other heavy-duty vehicles. Technicians will keep track of important system components such as engines, transmissions, brake systems, electrical cooling systems and steering systems. Requirements Duties • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of machinery and equipment, including diesel engines and HVAC systems. • Diagnose mechanical problems using schematics and technical manuals to identify solutions effectively. • Conduct equipment repairs as necessary to ensure proper functionality. • Assemble and disassemble machinery components as needed for repair or replacement. • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used. • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications/Experience • Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role, with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair, suspension systems, vacuum/pressure trucks HVAC systems, electrical systems, fabricated welding, hydraulics/pneumatics, PMs, troubleshooting and mechanical schematics.
• Own a set of tools. • CDL is a plus. • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues. • Time management • Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment. • A valid driver's license and safe driving record.
