A Space to Dream Boldly
Venue Manager
Moss Denver | Santa Fe Art District, Denver, CO | Full-Time, On-Site
Moss is one of Denver's most sought-after wedding and event venues, an urban industrial space in the heart of the Santa Fe Art District where couples, companies, and creatives bring their boldest visions to life. We are looking for a Venue Manager who can sell that experience and guide our clients from first tour to signed contract through their celebration.
This is a relationship and sales role at its core. The space sells itself once people walk in, so your job is to get them through the door, help them say yes, and make them feel cared for the whole way. We are looking for someone early in their sales career who is hungry to grow, easy to coach, and ready to build something here rather than just take a job. You will work closely with and report to our Business Development Manager, who will invest in you and help you sharpen your craft.
What You'll Own
- Sales and booking:
Lead every tour and turn qualified prospects into booked clients. You are the face of Moss from the first inquiry through the signed contract.
- Lead conversion:
Respond to inquiries fast and warmly, follow up with intention, and keep our pipeline moving from inquiry to tour to booking.
- Client management:
Guide booked clients from contract to celebration. Answer questions, coordinate details, and keep every client confident and cared for through their event date.
- Team and facility:
Oversee scheduling, coordinate with our preferred partners, and keep the space ready to impress. Our Event Managers run the events themselves, so you set them up to succeed rather than working every event yourself.
- Brand experience:
Represent Moss with confidence and warmth on every call, email, and tour, always inviting the next step.
What You Bring
- In-person sales:
2 to 5 years of in-person sales experience. This is required. You are comfortable reading people in the room and asking for the close.
- Tour availability:
Clients often tour outside standard hours, frequently late afternoons and occasionally early evenings or weekends. You build your schedule around when clients can come see the space, which is the most important flexibility this role asks for.
- Relationship skills:
You build trust quickly and make people feel taken care of, whether they are a nervous couple or a corporate event planner.
- Organization:
You manage multiple clients, timelines, and details without dropping any of them.
- Coachable and hungry:
You take feedback well, want to be mentored, and treat every tour as a chance to get better. We will teach you our process, our space, and our craft.
- Light event-day load:
Our Event Managers carry day-of responsibility, so you rarely need to be on-site during events. You stay reachable by phone to support a question now and then, with backup available, so evenings and weekends stay largely your own.
- Bonus:
Experience in events, hospitality, or venue sales is a strong plus, though we will train the right person who has the drive and the sales instinct.
Compensation
$50,000 to $60,000 total compensation,
built from a competitive base salary plus commission on the events you book. We design the commission so your effort shows up in your paycheck, and for the right candidate we will guarantee a strong base in your first year while that structure ramps up. As you grow into the role, so does your earning potential.
Why Moss
Moss is not a typical event space, and this is not a typical venue job. You will work in a beautiful, design-forward building, sell something you can be proud of, and play a real part in the most important days of our clients' lives. We are a small, ambitious team that values creativity, ownership, and growing our people. For someone early in their career who wants real mentorship and a place to build, this is a rare opportunity.
