About Our Opportunity The Rural 1st Loan Officer (RLO)/ Sr. Rural 1st Loan Officer (SRLO) is a sales position primarily responsible for building relationships with business contacts and customers in the consumer market segments. The RLO/SRLO will use his or her knowledge of the consumer marketplace, products and finance to fully understand the customer's or prospect's business and personal plans and then market the Farm Credit Mid-America financial services that best meet the needs. How You Will Spend Your Time As a Rural 1st Loan Officer, you have the responsibility for originating credit to customers by assessing the request and obtaining business and financial information needed to determine the viability and profitability of the deal.
