In 2023, UC officially entered the Big 12 athletic conference. Following in 2024, the University launched the inaugural Adaptive Sports program so that every student who comes to UC who wants to participate in some kind of athletic program can do that. https://www.uc.edu/news/articles/2024/10/uc-launches-adaptive-sports-program.html Future plans include launching adaptive club sports, with a long-term goal to become a national collegiate adaptive sports hub.
