In this role, you'll help ensure our properties remain safe, comfortable, and well-maintained homes for the Veterans we serve. Working closely with our Maintenance Lead, you'll tackle repairs, preventative maintenance, and improvement projects-solving problems before they grow and helping our communities thrive.

What You'll Do
?? Property Maintenance & Compliance

Keep apartments and common areas in excellent condition, completing most unit turnovers within two weeks

Ensure all properties meet fire, building, HUD, and Housing Authority standards

Inspect buildings, systems, and equipment to identify and resolve issues early
-
Follow preventative maintenance schedules to protect our properties long-term
?? Projects & Work Orders

Complete maintenance projects and checklists on schedule

Use maintenance software to track, prioritize, and update work orders
-
Plan and schedule repairs based on urgency and resident needs
?? Communication & Teamwork

Provide weekly updates to the Maintenance Lead and Director of Permanent Supportive Housing

Participate in staff meetings and collaborate with team members

Be available for emergency contact and share on-call responsibilities
?? Tools, Equipment & Materials
What We're Looking For

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Some related maintenance or facilities experience
-
Valid driver's license
-
Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, painting, and landscaping tasks
-
Comfortable using tablets, smartphones, laptops, and electronic work order systems
-
A proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and a team-oriented attitude

Participation in at least 95% of preventative maintenance tasks

Proficiency in Buildium
