Business Development Manager with a strong hunting mindset to drive new business growth (Citrix) in the Netherlands. This role is focused on
identifying, developing, and closing new customer opportunities, while building a strong pipeline of strategic accounts.
This position is ideal for:- Sales professionals who want to deepen their expertise in the IT and technology landscape, or
- IT professionals who are motivated to develop a successful sales and business development career
You will act as a trusted advisor to prospects, positioning Arrow's portfolio of IT solutions, value-added services, and supply chain programs to address real business and technology challenges.
New Business Development (Hunter Focus)- Proactively identify, target, and acquire new customers within the assigned territory
- Build and execute a structured new business acquisition strategy
- Generate leads through prospecting, networking, and market analysis
- Own the full sales cycle: from opportunity identification to deal closure
Solution & Value-Based Selling- Position Arrow's IT solutions, cloud services, and value-added offerings based on customer business needs
- Work closely with technical teams and vendor partners to design tailored solutions
- Educate customers on Arrow's supply chain capabilities and full life-cycle services
Customer Engagement & Relationship Building- Build strong relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and technical stakeholders
- Act as a trusted advisor by understanding customer challenges and future growth plans
- Transition newly acquired customers into long-term strategic relationships
Sales Execution & Reporting- Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting using Salesforce.
- Meet or exceed new business and revenue targets
- Collaborate internally with sales, marketing, and technical teams to accelerate deal success
Required Qualifications- Proven experience in business development, new business sales, or hunter roles
- Background in Sales or IT with a strong motivation to grow in the other domain
- Experience engaging with IT customers or selling technology-related solutions (preferred)
- Ability to understand and position technical solutions at a business level
- Experience responding to RFPs is a plus
- Fluent in Dutch, spoken and written
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
- Experience with CRM systems, ideally Salesforce
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
- Self-driven, resilient, and results-oriented mindset
