Job ResponsibilitiesJob Responsibilities: - Manage, supervise, lead and mentor all employees assigned to assist Navy & SOCOM Programs as part of an integrated product team.
- Provide consistent, knowledgeable and dedicated support & assistance on all sales, training, marketing and technical matters to Trijicon domestic personnel as tasked by the Director of Business Development
- Select, support & attend domestic military trade shows, conferences, meetings and range demonstrations as deemed necessary or as assigned
- Work closely with the other Programs Managers and the Senior Market Manager to ensure all market demand signals are addressed in a concise, accurate and timely manner
- Responsible to develop and pursue Government Military programs with a focus on program offices within the Navy, Navy Reserve, and U.S Special Operations Command while maintaining, developing and gaining new relationships.
- Develop and maintain a matrix that includes the following information; weapons available in the customer based market, optical systems used on the weapon platforms, capabilities of the optical systems currently in use, identification of gaps for the current optical systems and opportunities for product development.
- Provide post-sales training to Navy, Navy Reserve, and U.S. Special Operations Command end-users
- Develop and assist in all Business Development Division efforts to include RFI/RFQ/RFPs, courseware development, training and marketing; knowledge of creating ONS/JUONS/UFR preferred
- Assist in the office daily routine, range operations and other tasks as needed
- Explore efforts to maintain, penetrate and grow potential Trijicon domestic military markets; explore emerging markets and demand signals
- Ensure compliance of all U.S. ITAR export regulations
- Compose complete, concise and timely sales strategies & budgets, Trip After-Action Reports and Sales Forecasts
- Assist in all domestic marketing, sales and training efforts
- Assist the Business Development Division, as directed, to include: proof-reading, copy development for website or brochures, and other technical or application-related aspects
- Develop and maintain Military Desk Top Procedures, Quotes, Sales Checklists, and other administrative tools to assist in the efficient, timely and accurate domestic military sales processes
- Route all correspondence to R&D Engineering through Advanced Technology Programs to enable a “one voice” approach to communications. Route all other correspondence (minus HR) to Wixom offices via the Director of Business Development
- Develop short term (1 year), intermediate (3 year) and long term (5+ years) Domestic Military Sales Goals
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director Business Development or the Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing.
Job RequirementsEducation/Experience: - Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in US Military, specifically in the Navy
- Special Operations background preferred
- Minimum of 7 successful years of experience in leadership and management positions
- Experience as a small arms and tactics instructor
- A solid understanding of the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
Job Requirements: - Solid knowledge and understanding of military small arms and tactics
- In depth understanding of military procurement procedures and purchasing cycles
- Familiar with the Federal Acquisition Regulation and the Berry Amendment
- Experience working with TLS-SOE, GSA, and FedMall preferred.
- Ability to recognize and overcome purchasing hurdles and provide alternate avenues for procurement. Experience with OTA's, NGREA, and Section 845 preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- Ability to provide excellent written and oral presentations and briefs
- Capable of constant research to stay up to date on weapons, ammunition and optic development
- Ability to multitask efficiently
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively
- Dependable, reliable and honest
- Knowledge of Trijicon products and their applications a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to travel extensively, domestically and internationally
- Valid US Passport
