SUMMARY OF POSITION:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Warehouse Supervisor – Outbound to oversee outbound fulfillment operations, including order selection, packing, staging, and shipment preparation. This role is responsible for leading a high-performing team to ensure timely, accurate, and safe processing of outbound orders while maintaining operational excellence, inventory accuracy, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Lead and supervise all outbound functions, including order selection, packing, staging, and final preparation for shipment.
- Ensure outbound shipments are properly verified against pick tickets, work assignments, and delivery documentation.
- Coordinate workflow with the order waving team to optimize picking and packing operations.
- Monitor team performance and productivity; provide hands-on training, coaching, and daily feedback to ensure high standards.
- Maintain real-time inventory accuracy through proper documentation and timely updates in the WMS system.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and eliminate potential customer chargebacks.
- Conduct regular inspections of staged outbound goods for damage, accuracy, and compliance with customer specifications.
- Enforce proper handling and safe use of equipment, including all material handling equipment, and RF scanners.
- Generate and analyze outbound reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis for internal performance tracking.
- Support inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation processes.
- Ensure the warehouse area remains clean, safe, and well-organized at all times.
POSITION SPECIFICS:- Full-time position based primarily in Goodyear, AZ
- Standard hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – UTC. (some flexibility and occasional weekend availability required).
- Knowledge of order selection, logistics, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer proficiency (MS Office).
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Forklift certification (Reach Truck, Order Selector, Electric Pallet Jack, Counter-Balanced) preferred.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Direct (and indirect) supervision of assigned staff.
- Recruit, train, lead, develop, evaluate and retain staff associated with related functions.
- Responsible for quarterly reviews of direct reports and ensuring all staff has outlined performance objectives.
- Work with Human Resources for coaching & performance counseling.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of warehouse or logistics experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory / leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of outbound logistics processes, inventory control, and whse best practices.
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
- Proficient with Warehouse Mgmt Systems (HighJump preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Solid analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and reports using Excel and other tools.
- Familiarity with labor management systems (LMS) and RF scanning technologies.
- Lean/Six Sigma certification (Yellow Belt or higher) preferred.
- Proven ability to lead teams in high-pressure environment while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Forklift certification preferred (Reach Truck, Order Selector, Electric Pallet Jack, Counter-Balanced).
- Excellent attendance and punctuality are expected.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: Candidate must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with ability to: stand for long periods of time; ability to become certified (if operating equipment); constantly move about the warehouse; pulling/pushing a cart containing cartons; bend/stoop/kneel/crouch to handle product; regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds; the ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations; and the ability to observe details at close range (within a few feed of the observer). The work environment is often noisy with honking from passing forklifts and experiences hot/cold temperature fluctuations due to outside weather.
