The primary responsibility of this role is to perform day to day accounting that includes monitoring, recording, analyzing, and reconciling general ledger activity. This role ensures accurate and timely financial results that support internal and external reporting, while assisting with period end close activities and maintaining compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities- Prepare journal entries, research and analyze general ledger accounts, and review results to promote a timely and accurate month-end close process.
- Complete monthly balance sheet account reconciliations. Research and follow up on outstanding reconciliation items, collaborate with other departments and third parties to resolve discrepancies and outstanding items.
- Assist in the preparation of the projected earnings for the upcoming month end.
- Provide requested documentation for various internal and external audits and reviews.
- Collaborate with the financial planning and analysis team on the annual budget process by providing financial information for assigned areas.
- Monitor operational processes for compliance with accounting standards and established policies; enhance processes to optimize work effort, leveraging technology where feasible.
- Prepare ad hoc analyses and management reporting as directed by manager.
QualificationsEducationBachelor's Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty: Accounting. (Required)
Experience3 or more years accounting, closing, and report analysis. (Required)
1 or more years banking or financial services. (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail (Required)
- Solid foundation in U.S. GAAP, financial regulations, and core accounting processes (journal entries, analysis, month end close) (Required)
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, accounting software, and reconciliation platforms (Required)
- Effective communicator with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently (Required)
- Broad understanding of banking operations, systems, and processes (Required)
Other Duties as Assigned by ManagerThis role may perform other job duties as assigned by the manager. Each employee of the Organization, regardless of position, is accountable for reading, understanding and acting on the contents of all Company-assigned and/or job related Compliance Programs, regulations and policies and procedures, as well as ensure that all Compliance Training assignments are completed by established due dates. This includes but is not limited to, understanding and identifying compliance risks impacting their department(s), ensuring compliance with applicable laws or regulations, and escalating compliance risks to the appropriate level of management.

Specific compensation offered will be determined based on a combination of factors including the candidate's knowledge, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials. The salary range may vary based on geographic location.The salary range for this position is $50,200.00 - $83,700.00 annually.
Additional Compensation Components This job is eligible to participate in a short-term incentive compensation plan subject to individual and company performance.
