ResponsibilitiesWe’re looking for an Associate or Intermediate Accountant to participate in the monthly and quarterly closing process including SEC filings and performance of related financial analysis. You’ll demonstrate your financial analysis and analytical skills while reporting to the Manager – Financial Reporting in the Reporting and Consolidations Department. Description of duties and responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reportsPrepare consolidation journal entries, regional lease accounting entries and other related closing proceduresAssist in the accurate preparation of Forms 10-Q and 10-K in adherence with internal deadlinesReview regional financial statements and prepare analytic summaries to support internal controls over financial reportingAdminister the quarterly Sarbanes-Oxley Section 302 process within WorkivaAssist in the implementation of new accounting standards, identify system driven obstacles, and recommend a course of action for successful implementationAssist in the ongoing administration of the new lease accounting standardPerform benchmarking of peer filings to identify disclosure trends
QualificationsSpecial knowledge, skills and abilities required:Thorough understanding of financial analysis with strong analytical abilitiesCreative problem solving and ability to generate high quality innovative solutionsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsContinuous improvement mindsetStrong organizational, multi-tasking and team building skillsDemonstrated knowledge of U.S. GAAP
Education and experience required:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
This role is available at multiple levels depending on experience:
- Associate I: No experience required
- Associate II: 0-1 years of relevant experience
- Intermediate I: 2 years of relevant experience
- Intermediate II: 2-4 years of relevant experience
Preferred education and experience:2 years public accounting or experience in a multinational manufacturing companySAP and/or Oracle EPM experienceCPA earned or in progress
