We have an exciting hybrid opportunity for an AI Analyst based in Fort Smith, AR.
POSITION SUMMARY
Summit Utilities is looking for a proactive and solution-oriented AI Analyst to drive the practical application and adoption of artificial intelligence across the organization. In this role, you will act as a vital link between the technical AI team and business units, identifying high-value opportunities to deploy AI agents and automation workflows. You will be responsible for building and configuring AI solutions using low-code and pro-code tools, ensuring they solve operational challenges. Additionally, you will champion the democratization of AI by providing training, creating documentation, and supporting business users in leveraging our self-service AI platforms effectively.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
AI Agent Development: Design, configure, and deploy purpose-built AI agents and chatbots (using tools like Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Studio, or similar frameworks) to assist employees with specific tasks and inquiries.Workflow Automation: Build and maintain automated workflows that integrate AI capabilities with existing business processes, utilizing platforms such as Microsoft Power Automate, Logic Apps, and Python scripting.Use Case Identification: Partner with business stakeholders across various departments (e.g., Customer Service, Operations, Finance) to analyze workflows, identify bottlenecks, and scope potential AI and automation use cases.Prompt Engineering & Tuning: Develop and refine system prompts and context configurations to ensure AI outputs are accurate, relevant, and aligned with business tone and guidelines.AI Democratization & Support: Lead training sessions and workshops to upskill business users on approved AI tools; create user guides and documentation to foster a culture of self-service innovation.Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous testing of AI agents and automations to ensure reliability, handling edge cases and minimizing hallucinations before deployment.Performance Monitoring: Track the usage and effectiveness of deployed AI solutions, gathering user feedback to iteratively improve performance and user experience.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.General Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, or data analytics.AI/Automation Experience: Minimum of 1+ years of hands-on experience working with automation tools, chatbots, or Generative AI applications in a business context.Preferred: Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) or similar low-code automation ecosystems.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Automation Platforms: Proficiency in Microsoft Power Automate, Logic Apps, or similar workflow automation tools.AI Configuration: Experience configuring AI assistants using tools like Microsoft Copilot Studio or OpenAI Assistants API.Prompt Engineering: Strong understanding of how to craft effective prompts to guide Large Language Models (LLMs) for specific business tasks.Business Analysis: Excellent ability to map complex business processes, identify inefficiencies, and translate business needs into technical requirements.Data Literacy: Solid understanding of data concepts, including basic SQL or data visualization (Power BI), to understand how AI interacts with business data.Communication & Training: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex AI concepts to non-technical audiences and conduct effective training.Scripting: Basic knowledge of Python for data manipulation or simple automation scripts is a strong plus.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
