The reporting location for this position is Sacramento, CA. This position will work under the direction of the Environmental Program Manager I.
The California Natural Resources Agency (CNRA) is hiring a Research Data Analyst II within it's Monitoring and Stewardship Unit, to support the development and maintenance of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data and related systems, including maintaining geospatial tools created for CNRA. In this role, you'll support statewide projects in climate resilience, watershed health, parks, and more. As the Research Data Analyst II, you'll collaborate with experts across multiple units, on projects that support policy decisions to protect California's natural resources and deliver meaningful and direct benefits to communities statewide.
Applicants should have strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate and contribute in a team environment. Experience with integrating GIS features with an existing system hosted within software platforms like Azure.

Working Conditions Location: This position r equires reporting in person at Natural Resources Agency headquarters located at 715 P Street in Sacramento for a minimum of two times a week.
Flexible Work Schedule: This position is considered Remote Centered which means the incumbent would telework 50% or more of the time within a work month from an alternate work location. The incumbent can telework with a management approved telework agreement and schedule. This position is eligible for partial teleworking in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy, but the incumbent will be required to report to the office as needed/required.
