About the position
As a Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for understanding and communicating how building information modeling (BIM) and engineering design will affect project workflows, deliverables, and project management throughout the virtual design group. This includes management, implementation, and coordination of BIM standards on all related BIM projects, files, and models, as well as the creation of work plans for development and implementation of quality assurance.

Day in the life
- Develops and implements BIM project data sets/workflows and drives project set up, standards for implementation and usage of BIM and supporting software tools within and outside the Company.
- Evaluates new and recommended BIM-related software and technologies. Stays informed on best practices for use of BIM-related software and tools and automates BIM workflow routines to support standards and productivity.
- Creates and manages content library files and templates, supports project start-ups, and coordinates BIM software project selection, including but not limited to licensing compliance, updated version releases, legacy software maintenance and software customization for specific needs.
- Manages and maintains project content and sources additional content as required. Evaluates project models, sets up modeling environments and coordinates linked models across disciplines. Provides daily model management, quality control administration and maintenance.
- Oversees the use of BIM/Revit software, including strategy deployment, installing, configuring, maintaining and supporting all BIM installations. Provides hardware and network support as it relates to BIM production. Provides end-user training, support, and leadership.
- Provides technical support, mentoring and training required to the project team, and identifies, analyzes, and resolves BIM issues as needed. Understands and ensures any changes in procedures and standards are effectively communicated to project teams.
- Evaluates workflow, strategies, budgets, projects, resources, etc. and reports on the Company's current and project state regarding BIM processes and implementations.
- Builds strong, effective relationships with customers, foremen, project team, specialty contractors, vendors, suppliers, user groups and others that reflect and support the Company's core values and meet or exceed the customer's expectations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience in information technology, building information modeling (BIM), or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 4-5 years of BIM modeling experience.
- Experience and proficiency using Revit, Autodesk, Bluebeam software and Microsoft Office. Experience using Evolve software is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of the National Electrical Code, safety codes, and best practices. Skills to read, interpret and understand electrical contracts, plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong initiative, prioritization, organizational, and customer service skills. Strong problem-solving and time management skills and high detail orientation. Demonstrated high level of integrity and dependability.

- Demonstrated strong analytical and mathematical skills.

- Basic project management training, experience, and skills.
