Osteria di Mercato is building a kitchen rooted in modern Italian cuisine, driven by fine-dining technique and presented in a casual, approachable setting.
We are looking for a strong Junior Sous / Sous Chef to help lead the back of house — someone who is organized, disciplined, and passionate about building a great kitchen culture.

The Role
This position supports the CDC and kitchen leadership in:
- Daily service execution and line leadership
- Training and mentoring cooks
- Maintaining quality, consistency, and standards
- Assisting with prep systems, ordering, and organization
- Leading by example in cleanliness, attitude, and work ethic
Who We’re Looking For
- 2+ years experience in a leadership role (or strong line cook ready to step up)
- Organized, calm under pressure, and detail-oriented
- Passion for technique and continuous improvement
- Strong communication and team mindset
- Someone looking for long-term growth, not a temporary role
