Join Our Team as a Locum Gastroenterologist - Petoskey, MI

As a locum physician, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care within a supportive hospital setting, ensuring continuity of care and health outcomes for patients in need. Required Skills:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) with valid license to practice in Michigan
- Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology
- Proven experience in performing ERCP procedures
- Strong clinical skills in outpatient and inpatient gastroenterology
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with onsite support staff
- Excellent communication and patient management skills
- Proficiency in Cerner EMR system
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior locum or temporary staffing experience
- Additional training in advanced endoscopy techniques
- Familiarity with hospital-based clinical environments
- Multilingual abilities to enhance patient engagement
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- At least 2 years of post-residency clinical experience in gastroenterology
- Experience with endoscopic procedures, including ERCP
Other Requirements:
- Availability starting March 1, 2026, for scheduled open dates
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 am 4:30 pm, with 24-hour weekend call (no weekday night call)
- Weekend call coverage (4 hours gratis) required
- Willingness to travel and undergo orientation/training as needed
- Certification in BLS/ACLS preferred
- Compliance with all hospital policies and credentialing requirements
