Become a Key Player in Urgent Care as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
We are seeking dedicated and qualified Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to join our dynamic urgent care team. This critical role offers the chance to provide top-tier medical care across a variety of urgent care settings, serving both adult and pediatric patients. In this role, you will independently evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients, managing a wide range of urgent health concerns. Your proficiency with EMR systems like Epic, solid clinical judgment, and exceptional interpersonal skills will ensure high-quality care and positive patient experiences. You will collaborate with a supportive team of medical staff and support personnel, delivering compassionate care to patients of all ages from 6 months and up.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 12 months of relevant clinical experience in urgent or acute care settings
- Board certification (BC or NCCPA for PAs, Family NP Certification for NPs)
- Current BLS certification
- Proficiency in using Epic EMR
- Ability to see and treat patients independently as the sole provider
- Strong soft skills and excellent communication abilities
- Capable of performing minor procedures such as I&D, lac repairs, and ear irrigation
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with pediatric patients or extensive urgent care procedures
- Additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS
- Prior experience working in multiple site environments within a 65-mile radius
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies
- At least 1 year of clinical experience in urgent or emergency care
- Previous integrated EMR experience, specifically with Epic
Other Requirements:
- Must be willing to work in urgent care and acute care settings
- No travel or overnight lodging required; mileage reimbursement available
- Availability to work across multiple locations within a 65-mile radius
- Capability to complete onboarding, EMR training, and clinical assessments prior to starting solo shifts
