Tenet Healthcare's Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas is seeking a board certified pathologist with expertise in both anatomic and clinical pathology for a locum tenens assignment. The start date is ASAP and coverage is ongoing to meet a scheduling need. The schedule consists of hospital hours Monday Friday from 8 am to 5 pm with call after hours, on weekends and on holidays. Work is inpatient only and includes supervising two PA/NPs and collaborating with office staff. Cases include surgical pathology, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, neuropathology, dermatopathology, hematopathology (including bone marrow aspiration and biopsy procedures), pediatric tumor pathology, cytology (GYN and non GYN), autopsy (forensic and non forensic), frozen sections, hematology, microbiology, chemistry/serology, blood bank and more.
