Position SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IBM i Operations Administrator to join our Corporate Information Services team. This role is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of IBM i systems and Power Systems hardware, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
Key Responsibilities - Administer and maintain IBM i systems, including Power Systems hardware.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability.
- Apply patches, updates, and perform system upgrades.
- Manage user profiles, permissions, and access controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business and technical requirements.
- Ensure system security and compliance with Crown's IT policies.
- Document procedures and maintain system logs.
- Provide second-level support for IBM i-related incidents.
QualificationsRequired:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience/knowledge in IBM i
- Working knowledge of IBM i OS, CL commands, and system navigation.
- Familiarity with IBM HMC, SAN storage, and backup solutions.
- Experience with IBM Power 9 or newer systems.
- Proficiency in IBM SEA software, Mimix, Turnover, and Halcyon (or similar software).
- Experience with scripting language (CL).
Preferred:
- Understanding of networking and virtualization concepts.
- Exposure to ITIL practices and change management.
