We are currently seeking a CD and IRA Specialist that will be responsible for providing superior customer support to our Community Banking partners and IRA clients. In addition to providing support, responsibilities include CD verification, CD posting, new account input, account maintenance, penalty calculations, and rate input. The role requires expert knowledge of IRA banking concepts, rules, and regulations. The CD and IRA Specialist must maintain accurate IRA Plan Administration, which includes IRA transaction processing, IRA deceased processing, death claims, RMD calculations and processing, IRA Transfers, IRA Direct Rollovers, and tax reporting, all in accordance with government regulations and bank policies.
Key Accountabilities Include
Serve as the subject matter expert for our internal teams
Effectively and professionally communicate complicated IRS rules and regulations to both internal associates, external IRA clients, tax professionals, and attorneys.Maintain knowledge of Old National's CD and IRA products, and familiarity with all IRA documents for Community Banking partners, and IRA clientsEnsure accuracy of IRA documents received, then post transactions and maintenance requests with minimal errorsAdjust priorities to ensure service level agreements and deadlines are achievedProvide recommendations on operational initiatives and improvementsDuring peak IRA and Tax season (October - April) additional hours and responsibilities may be required. PTO blackout dates apply the week of the Tax Filing Deadline (typically April 15th), and the last week of the year. Additional blackout dates may apply, advance notice will be provided.Key Competencies for Position

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School Degree or equivalent with 2 to 5 years of experience; or Associate degree with 0 to 2 years of experience
- Ability to understand and communicate complicated information effectively
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment and with other areas
- Trust and/or Estate experience, a plus
