Physician Assistant Opportunity - Rural Health & Hospital SettingLocation: Wellington, TX - Amarillo 100mEmployment Type: Full-Time, permanent positionPosition Highlights Work across clinic, hospital, and emergency settings Collaborative role with supervising physicians and healthcare team Opportunity to serve a diverse rural patient population Mix of clinic, inpatient, nursing home, and ED responsibilitiesResponsibilities Practice within granted privileges and applicable medical board standards Provide care in both the rural health clinic and hospital/ED environment Perform patient assessments, histories, and physical exams Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic procedures Develop and implement treatment plans Prescribe and manage medications Provide patient counseling and education Assist with admissions, management, and discharge of hospitalized patients Participate in call coverage for ER/hospital, as assigned Maintain accurate and consistent medical records Coordinate care with the healthcare team Represent the organization positively in the community Follow medical staff bylaws and clinic/hospital policies Support a culture of patient safety and complianceQualifications Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in Texas Eligible for prescriptive authority Current DPS and DEA certification Current BLS certification required ACLS, ATLS, and PALS preferred NCCPA certification preferred CAQ in Emergency Medicine recommended but not required 2-4 years' experience in family medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine preferred Ability to function independently and collaboratively Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills Commitment to ethical, compassionate patient careEducation Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program Master's degree preferredAdditional Notes Ongoing medical education encouraged Trauma-related continuing education preferred Role supports both outpatient and inpatient care deliveryCommunity Information - Wellington, TX Friendly rural community environment Opportunity to practice broad-scope medicine Strong sense of local engagement and patient connection
