Be part of the team responsible for designing and producing first class live events for Dow Jones. The Dow Jones events team produce and design virtual, in person and hybrid events of all shapes, sizes and formats, bringing our brands to life for our members, our clients and our colleagues. Our live events connect our audiences with newsmakers and big ideas, via ambitious experiences.
As one of our Senior Event Producers, you will develop, plan and produce industry-leading events, taking full responsibility for each stage of the process. You will work closely with the team to find innovative and engaging ways to deliver - taking both a creative and operational approach - with energy, ambition and a willingness to support all elements of the event, big and small. This role will oversee the day-to-day management of partners and vendors to ensure that projects are on track. This role will also be responsible for producing successful events and experiences for both live and digital audiences and ensuring the event design and technical production translates for both.
You will have the opportunity to work closely with newsrooms, content operations, marketing, sales and sponsorship activation teams to build relationships and deliver successful events and experiences.
You Will: • Plan and deliver a wide range of events and brand experiences, including our tentpole franchises
• Support and contribute to the creation and delivery of event strategy and plans that support and complements the wider marketing and business ambitions
• Oversee the development of event design, experience and brand presence onsite and online
• Manage, from start to finish, the ideation, planning, and delivery of each event • Manage event production - understand what is required to build a technically successful show, both online and in person - overseeing execution of all logistical and design requirements for your designated events and ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. This includes detailed oversight of venue selection, technical requirements, and aesthetic design.
• Create and maintain project budgets, plans, schedules and contractual obligations
• Liaise with the newsrooms or respective stakeholders to ensure the content of events, and event experience, are in line with goals
• Research and pitch new event ideas that support the strategy and engage with members and clients
• Mentor and guide team members
• Build industry and business knowledge, staying ahead of industry trends and integrate new event technologies to enhance event delivery
You Have: • Highly creative with a strong eye for event design and a love of detail
• Strong technical and production knowledge to create seamless experiences for live and digital audiences
• Excellent understanding of the industry
• Excited by/comfortable with fast paced, dynamic, hands-on role, with proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously, often with tight deadlines and varying scope
• Sound business acumen, with the ability to work closely with multiple internal and external partners and stakeholders to produce and manage each event
• Outstanding project management and negotiation skills, with extensive experience in managing complex budgets, logistics, and technical production aspects of events
• Strategic thinker who enjoys working in a collaborative, solutions driven environment
• Passion for the brand, the business and the industry
Qualifications: • 6+ years of event industry experience
• Experience managing heavy and conflicting event schedules
• Strong project management skills
• Knowledge of event design and marketing processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and strategies clearly and effectively
• Ability to be flexible with travel, and work additional hours as needed
