Thermal Engineering leads and delivers the development of innovative and compliant thermal design solutions, as well as cross-functional interfaces for computer systems and peripherals. Our team conducts the analysis, feasibility studies and testing of thermal products, instruments, subassemblies and packaging for new and existing products – and then oversees the introduction of design changes to the manufacturing organizations.

As a Senior Principal Thermal Engineer , you will collaborate with our global thermal, electrical and mechanical engineering community to develop Rack-Level Data Center solutions for Dell's enterprise customers and partners.
Design rack-level heat exchange and coolant distribution systems
Develop coolant distribution solutions within the loop for parallel flow solutions and support cooling network sizing
Collaborate with mechanical engineering teams to drive design trade‐offs in rack‐level air and liquid cooling solutions
Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. 12+ years in a thermal engineering role to include experience with server rack cooling systems within Data Centers or equivalent skill
~ Expertise in internal fluid dynamics and heat transfer
~ Experience with electronics cooling, cooling distribution units (CDUs) and thermal systems controls
~ BS, MS or PhD in mechanical engineering or related field
