Our client, a leader in the construction and infrastructure industry, is seeking a Procurement Specialist 3 to join their team. As a Procurement Specialist 3, you will be part of the procurement department supporting construction projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and a proactive approach to sourcing and supplier management, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Procurement Specialist 3
Location: Clarksville, VA
Pay Range: $30/hr to $33/hr on W2
What's the Job?
Lead sourcing strategies within designated categories, engaging with senior stakeholders to understand business needs.
Manage procurement processes, including supplier expediting, change order administration, and data management for construction projects.
Develop and maintain long-term relationships with strategic suppliers and identify new potential partners.
Ensure compliance with sourcing policies and best practices, providing expert advice to business areas.
Monitor project timelines and budgets, managing risks effectively to ensure timely delivery of procurement activities.
What's Needed?
Experience in construction procurement or related fields, with 5-7 years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in basic Windows software, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
Strong business writing skills and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Understanding of procurement techniques, supply chain management, and sourcing strategies.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
