Job Description:The Manager, Source-to-Contract, will ensure that the Regional Service Delivery Source-to-Contract organization delivers results in support of the Global Services, OneProcurement and Johnson & Johnson business strategy and objectives. The role works directly with the business, category teams, and the broader function. Additionally, you contribute to and/or own the operational execution of prioritized category strategy implementations, sourcing and contracting cases, and other critical functional activities.
The Manager, Source-to-Contract, works to identify and address needs of internal stakeholders, contributes improvements to procurement strategies and remains abreast of current market trends.
Key Responsibilities - Manages a team of individual contributors and/or Supervisors and is accountable for conducting effective performance management.
- Manages operational aspects of the team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within established timelines. Delivers against defined Service Levels.
- Partners with Category Procurement teams, Legal, Compliance, IT, Security, and other relevant functions to align sourcing and contracts with category strategy, data privacy, cybersecurity and regulatory needs.
- Oversee and actively participate in the day-to-day operations of the Source-to-Contract function, including sourcing event management, price and other contract terms negotiation, contract drafting and execution, and stakeholder management activities.
- Collaborate with multiple departments in the development and execution of strategies and plans that improve the organization's profitability and competitive position, utilizing market intelligence, risk assessments, and total cost projections.
- Drives continuous improvements in user experience, effectiveness, and efficiency in assigned areas of responsibility.
- Support digital requirements discipline: gather, document, and translate data needs, data quality, data lineage, integration points and privacy/security controls.
- Create Value by establishing and nurturing strong relationships with key business partners and leadership across regions in scope with a view to proactively understanding and constructively influence their needs and expectations, secure cross-functional alignment.
- Change management: training, coaching, and upskilling teams on new digital tools and processes.
- Integrates Johnson & Johnson's Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision making.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent University degree is required.
An MBA or further advanced degree is preferred.
Experience and Skills Required: - 7-10 years of Source to Contract, Procurement, Legal, Finance, or other relevant business experience
- Contract negotiation experience.
- Compliance and regulatory knowledge.
- Good understanding of Sourcing and Contracting processes and Source-to-settle operations.
- Strategic mindset. Disciplined data-oriented thinking to be able to plan for long term.
- Prior experience of leading large teams in a matrixed structure / service delivery environment.
- Collaboration, Communication & Influencing Skills: Should be regarded as a constructive player representing Source-to-Contract and overall procurement in various teams within the company and outside. Should have the requisite communication skills to communicate & influence objectives, develop collaborative relationships both internally and externally to achieve them.
- Learning Agility & Openness to Change. Comfortable with ambiguity.
- Fluency in English (written and oral) is required. Fluency in one other language (written and oral) for the supported region(s) is preferred.
Preferred: Shared Services Industry experience.
Other Requires up to 5% domestic and international travel.
