Challenging Projects:As a Junior Business Development Associate (C5ISR Focus) with JCTM you will play a critical role in supporting business development and capture efforts across DoD and federal markets. This execution-focused role is designed for former government personnel, including contracting specialists (1102 series), CORs, logistics and sustainment professionals, acquisition support staff, program office personnel, and U.S. military veterans, who want to transition into industry and apply their experience to federal opportunity identification, capture support, and proposal execution.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor federal and DoD opportunity sources (e.g., SAM.gov, GovWin, agency forecasts, internal pipelines) and log relevant opportunities
- Support opportunity qualification and internal gate review processes to assess pursuit viability and alignment with company strategy
- Maintain accurate opportunity, pipeline, and pursuit data within CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, GovWin, Unanet CRM)
- Conduct customer, program office, incumbent, and contract vehicle research to support capture decisions
- Take notes during internal and external meetings and distribute summaries, action items, and follow-ups
- Support customer engagement through outbound emails, phone calls, and meeting coordination under guidance from BD and Capture leadership
- Assist with preparation of RFIs, Sources Sought responses, market research submissions, and white papers
- Provide proposal support, including gathering inputs, drafting sections as assigned, formatting, and compliance checks
- Prepare opportunity summaries, trackers, call notes, and briefing materials for business development and executive leadership
- Coordinate with capture managers, proposal teams, and technical staff to ensure tasks are completed on schedule
- Exercise discretion when handling sensitive, pre-decisional, or proprietary information
State-of-the-Art Technology:Expand your expertise by working with modern GovCon toolsets and disciplined capture/proposal workflows-leveraging CRMs, pipeline dashboards, opportunity trackers, and collaboration platforms to enable high-tempo pursuit execution in support of mission outcomes.

You Have:- High School Diploma
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to produce clear meeting notes, summaries, and action tracking
- Professional comfort making phone calls and sending effective emails to internal and external stakeholders
- Highly organized and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple tasks, shifting priorities, and deadlines
- Willingness to learn government business development, capture, and proposal processes
- Comfort working with spreadsheets, document trackers, and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, GovWin, Unanet CRM)
- Reliable follow-through, responsiveness, and sound professional judgment
- Ability to work independently in a 100% remote environment while staying tightly aligned with capture/proposal schedules
- Demonstrated discretion handling sensitive, pre-decisional, and proprietary information
Nice to Haves:- Prior experience as a government contracting specialist (1102 series) or Contracting Officer's Representative (COR)
- Working knowledge of GSA eBuy and GSA-affiliated vehicles (e.g., GSA MAS, GSA HACS, OASIS+)
- Background in logistics, sustainment, supply chain, acquisition, or program office support
- U.S. military veteran with exposure to C5ISR, operations, staff planning, or sustainment
- Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, RFIs/Sources Sought, contract vehicles, or proposal workflows
- Prior business development, capture, or proposal support experience (helpful, not required)
- Experience maintaining opportunity data quality (stage hygiene, next steps, win themes alignment, artifacts tracking) in a CRM to support executive reporting and gate decisions.
