Senior Project Manager - Aviation to join our expanding team
in our Charlotte or Raleigh, NC offices. This is a dynamic leadership opportunity to work on a wide range of civil and aviation-related infrastructure projects at NC airports.
Role SummaryAs a Senior Project Manager, you'll lead multidisciplinary teams through all phases of planning, design, and delivery of complex projects. You'll play a key role in business development, project execution, and client relationship management-while also helping to mentor junior staff and contribute to the growth of our North Carolina Aviation team.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, design, and manage a variety of aviation and civil infrastructure projectsOversee stormwater, utility infrastructure, and pavement design and assessmentsManage construction support services, including construction management and inspectionLead and coordinate large, multi-disciplinary design teamsPrepare engineering plans, specifications, reports, and permit applicationsAnalyze design alternatives, technical data, cost estimates, and project schedulesEnsure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standardsMaintain and grow client relationships with local and national aviation partnersSupport business development, including proposal preparation and client presentationsMentor and develop junior team members to promote technical excellence
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited universityMinimum of 10 years of civil engineering experience, including at least 3 years in civil engineering project designNorth Carolina Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within 6 monthsDemonstrated experience managing aviation or transportation infrastructure projectsProficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office suiteStrong leadership, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to travel to client sites throughout the regionValid driver's license with a clean driving record
Preferred QualificationsExperience working with Commercial Service and General Aviation Airports, NCDOA, NCDOT, FAA, and local permitting agenciesFamiliarity with civil engineering design, site development, and utility coordinationAdvanced proficiency in Civil 3D and related engineering software
