Overview
Junior systems engineer who supports E3 testing and analysis activities. Provides hands-on test support, data collection, preliminary analysis, documentation support for CDRLs, and maintains test artifacts in the IDDE. Works under direction of Lvl 3/4 engineers and test leads.
Essential duties & responsibilities
Provide test-setup and execution support for E3 tests (radiated/conducted), instrument operation, data capture, and QA of test logs.Assist in preparing and maintaining E3 Control Plan artifacts on IDDE and supporting documents for CDRL submissions.Prepare data sets, plots, and preliminary summaries used by mid/senior engineers for E3IAR/E3VR development.Maintain configuration of test data and support uploading/organizing artifacts in the IDDE.Perform first-line checks of test results versus pass/fail criteria and flag anomalies.Support HEMP/ED test events by instrumenting units under test and following test procedures and safety guidelines.Support peer reviews by assembling evidence packets and producing annotated test logs.
Responsibilities
Education: Associate degree with technical training or Bachelor's in EE/Physics preferred.
Experience: 2-4 years related experience in EMI/EMC testing support, lab operations, or systems engineering introductions.
• Hands-on lab/test experience with EMI/EMC instrumentation (spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, LISNs).
• Basic understanding of radiated/conducted emissions and susceptibility tests.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with MS Office, basic scripting (preferred), and data plotting tools
Qualifications
Familiarity with MIL-STD-461 and other EMC/HEMP standards.Experience with IDDE or document repositories.
