Now hiring at our MSA Safety General Monitors Corona, CA site for an HC Sensor Production Cell Operator. This role will be responsible for the following:
- Assembly, modification, rework and testing of hydro carbon sensors or sub-assemblies.
- Assembly includes handling of extremely delicate materials while performing tasks using a microscope under extreme magnification 300 X for extended periods of time.
- Perform precision resistance spot welding.
- Automatic Test Equipment assembly testing using DVM, Gas ATE, Bead ATE, High Temperature sensor screening system.
- Hand soldering of parts.
- Complete and maintain relevant paperwork and input information into a computer system.
- Operate the coil winder machine and glass fusion machine.
- Must follow all procedures set forth to ensure the highest quality products possible.
- Must complete all assigned tasks in an efficient and timely manner.
Qualifications- Ability to:
- read, write and speak English including work instructions and test procedures.
- operate the coil winder and glass fusion machines.
- regularly perform repetitive tasks and work that requires extreme magnification 300X for extended periods of time with strong attention and focus.
- use a variety of test equipment (DVM, Gas ATE, Bead ATE, and High Temperature sensor screening system).
- perform fine finger and hand activities - steady hand is required along with good manual dexterity working with hand tools, cordless drills, screw drivers, pneumatic guns, glue guns, pliers, wire cutters, soldering iron, etc.
- lift up to 20 lbs. and push/pull up to 150 lbs. on a cart.
- walk, reach, stand and sit as needed to perform the job functions.
- Strong soldering skills and ability to distinguish among different color coatings on wires.
- Experience working under stereo zoom microscopes is required.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Good organizational skills required.
Education:- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Preferred)
