adjunct teaching positions supporting the
Clay Center and
The O'Donnell Center for Professional Development. Adjunct faculty play a vital role in delivering high-quality, student-centered instruction and experiential learning opportunities to VSB undergraduates.
Courses Available:Adjunct instructors may be considered for one or both of the following courses:
- Business Dynamics (VSB 1015 - 3 credit course)All VSB first-year students take this course during the fall semester. It emphasizes the overarching purpose of business within society and how business vision is actualized. The course provides context for students' business learning experience, integrating global, political, ethical, and technological dimensions of business. It also serves as the first step in preparing students to become creative, innovative problem solvers while developing analytical business writing and presentation skills.
- Typically, this course is offered 3 days per week: 50-minute class sessions.
- Backpack-to-Briefcase Sophomore Seminar (VSB 2000 - 1 credit course) - All VSB sophomores enroll in this one-credit professional development seminar. The course focuses on self-assessment, career decision-making, personal branding, internship and job-search processes, interviewing skills, networking, and effective use of social media.
- Typically this course is offered once per week for 10 weeks during the semester: 75-minute class sessions.

Preferred Qualifications:Previous teaching experience preferred.Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours: Courses may need to be offered in the evenings or weekends.Special Message to Applicants:The Clay Center and O'Donnell Center for Professional Development accept adjunct faculty applications on a rolling basis throughout the year. When a teaching vacancy arises, all submitted applications will be reviewed for consideration to staff available courses.
