Summary: The Electrical General Foreman provides overall leadership and direction to the prefabrication facilitys production operations. Responsible for strategic planning, staffing, coordination, and execution of production goals, this role ensures alignment between shop operations, field installation needs, and company objectives. The General Foreman drives continuous improvement, safety culture, and workforce development across the EFAB division.
Primary Responsibilities:- Oversee all prefab production operations, including workflow planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Manage and mentor Foremen and senior leads to ensure consistent performance and leadership across all lines.
- Drive a proactive safety culture by modeling best practices, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with McCarthys Safety Policy.
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, and field operations to forecast production requirements and adjust priorities accordingly.
- Ensure all assemblies meet McCarthys standards for quality, precision, and constructability.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and process innovation.
- Oversee training programs and skill progression pathways for all production levels.
- Evaluate and optimize staffing levels, production flow, and equipment utilization.
- Participate in strategic decision-making regarding product line expansion, tooling upgrades, and shop layout changes.
- Represent the EFAB team in coordination meetings, performance reviews, and client-related discussions.
Qualifications:- Minimum 710 years of mechanical, electrical, or prefab manufacturing experience, including at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role.
- Proven success in leading large teams in a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical design principles, prefab methodologies, and lean production concepts.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in production management software, scheduling, and reporting tools.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and workforce development.
