AttainX, Inc. is in search of a highly energetic Network Engineer with strong technical knowledge, communication, and organizational skills to support our government client.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:Bachelor's degree or higher3+ years of experience implementing and maintaining network solutionsStrong experience providing Network Engineering expertise and Tier 3+ support for a global enterprise computing environment Must hold a minimum of CISCO Associate Level Certification in good standing (such as CCDA, CCNA, etc.).Experience working in a cloud environmentExperience researching and evaluating enterprise networking solutions and providing recommendations to senior leadershipExperience collaborating with cross-functional global teams and acting as a networking subject-matter expert to support, troubleshoot, and implement enterprise IT solutions Solid understanding of networking principles and security best practicesWorking knowledge of technologies traversing an enterprise network (e.g. virtualization, Windows and Linux systems, SAN, applications, etc.) to provide secure transport for same Understanding of the system hardening processes, tools, guidelines and benchmarksDemonstrated proficiency in interpersonal, analytical, oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting
Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience working on US Federal Government ContractsDemonstrated experience with delivering technology solutions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven enterprise environmentSelf-starter, highly motivated individual who adapts to a dynamic work environmentStrong attention to detail with an ability to operate effectively across multiple priorities.Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53r4 and 800-53r5-based security baselining practicesWorking knowledge of Google Voice administration, including configuration of desktop phones where required
Job Duties:The Network Engineer is responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of Networking solutions for our US Government customer. Job duties include:
Development Environment - Implement a dedicated IT development environment for testing patches and updates, system changes, and evaluation softwarePatch management - automate the IT Security patches process required to keep the system secureImplement modifications to the existing system boundary, which may include changes to VLANs and physical connectivity to other 8850-supported systemsImplement remote desktop technology for the workstations to allow the Help desk to troubleshoot and fix desktop problems remotelyDevelop network architecture enhancements for the network environmentProvide innovative and cutting-edge solutions to network issues/concernProvide business case analysis for varying solutions and include a cost benefits analysis for each solution
- Support onsite the day-to-day operational requirements as directed by the COR/SO, and for IT
- security concerns follow the ISSO guidance, as directed by the COR/SO. Examine
- documentation and provide support to:
- Maintain hardware and software designed to prevent compromise of any system
- components
- Deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor, active network devices (switches,
- routers, firewalls, cabling, etc.)
- Provide and support network addressing assignments
- Maintain routing protocols and routing configurations
- Provide configuration of authentication and authorization
- Provide maintenance and documentation for network facilities
- Provide troubleshooting and debugging of network related problems
- Provide Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Root Certificate Authority (CA) network services support
- Provide maintenance of the network authorization infrastructure as well as the
- network backup system
- Provide Network Directory Services: Domain Naming Services (DNS), Domain Host
- Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and World Wide Web (WWW) services
- Provide and maintain the secure wireless technology to be scalable for other facilities locations
- Perform network health monitoring using provided monitoring tools
- Analyze network statistics, including traffic flow for the networks, perform reviews
- and trend analysis, and submit enhancement recommendations to system management
- and Change Control Board (CCB)
- Manage and troubleshoot all approved public Domain Naming Service (DNS) name
- spaces owned and operated by the included organizations
- Provide Telecommunications Network Engineering analysis, recommendations,
- installations, and configurations for Network Devices connected to the network backbone
